骨芽細胞の分化を促進する低分子化合物 (TH)
ヘリオキサンチンの類縁体であるTH (1)は，大庭らにより報告された骨芽細胞の分化を促進する初めての低分子化合物です1)。1は，骨芽細胞前駆細胞の分化を促進するだけでなく，齧歯類骨欠損モデルにおいて骨再生を促進することが報告されています2,3)。さらに，マウス・ヒト多能性幹細胞4,5)や歯髄幹細胞6)から骨芽細胞への分化誘導においても，その効果が確認されています。1は，骨再生を実現するために重要な役割を果たすと期待されています。
