It has been reported that NLR family pyrin domain- containing protein 3 (NLRP3), a pattern recognition receptor, forms a complex called NLRP3 inflammasome in response to irritating metabolites and pathogens, and induces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, Interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18. In recent years, it has become clear that excessive activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome is closely related to the development of various inflammatory diseases. Therefore, inhibitors that suppress the activity of the NLRP3 inflammasome have been attracting attention.
