Bufexamac: A Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID)
Bufexamac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Bufexamac acts by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which directs the synthesis of a family of cellular regulators called prostaglandins (PGS). Recently, bufexamac has been reported as an antioxidant and a class IIb (HDAC6, HDAC10) HDAC inhibitor.
