Background of This Action
Password-protected compressed files, while encrypted, are difficult to detect malware.
In addition, cyber-attacks such as “Emotet,” which have been on the rise recently, have been reported to exploit these file formats.
Many organizations are also moving to stop using password-protected compressed files in order to avoid the risk.
Against this background, we have decided to take this action in order to further improve our information security.
