Fluorous Ether Solvents

Heptafluoropropyl Methyl Ether (Product No. H1773), Methyl Nonafluorobutyl Ether (mixture of isomers) (Product No. M1345), Ethyl Nonafluorobutyl Ether (mixture of isomers) (Product No. E0528) and 1,1,1,2,2,3,4,5,5,5-Decafluoro-3-methoxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)pentane (Product No. D4484) are hydrofluoroethers, also known as HFE-7000, HFE-7100, HFE-7200, and HFE-7300, respectively.¹⁾ These hydrofluoroethers are not only used as solvents and diluents,^2,3) but their use as refrigerants,⁴⁾ heat transfer fluids,⁵⁾ cleaning agents,⁶⁾ and electrolytic solvents⁷⁾ has also been reported.
