Perovskite Precursor for Solar Cell: Purified Lead(II) Iodide

Perovskite solar cell has recently received much attention. Power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the solar cell is more than 15%. A device of the perovskite solar cell can be fabricated in low cost, because it is solution-processible. At a main part of the solar cell, the organic-inorganic perovskite semiconductor (MeNH3PbI3) can functionalize as an absorption layer. It has been reported that use of highly purified lead(II) iodide is a key to fabricate efficient perovskite solar cell devices (PCE >10%) with high reproducibility.

We offer high-purity "purified lead(II) iodide". We can also supply lead(II) iodide in kilogram scale.

DMF Solution Comparison

Conventional Lead(II) Iodide is suspended in DMF. On the other hand, purified Lead(II) Iodide (Product No. L0279) dissolves clearly at 1M concentraton in DMF.

Conventional Lead(II) Iodide enables only about 5.2%. However, purified Lead(II) Iodide (Product No. L0279) realizes high energy conversion efficiency (13.2%) with good reproducibility.
