Application
Mefenpyr-diethyl: A Safener in Combination with Herbicides
Mefenpyr-diethyl (HOE-107892) is not an active substance but is used as a safener in combination with certain herbicides such as allyl propionic acids and sulfonylureas for tolerance of e.g. cereal crops to these herbicides. The mode of action is to induce to enhanced metabolization of the herbicides in crops but interestingly not in weed species.
