Benidipine Hydrochloride: A Long-Acting Dihydropyridine-Derived Calcium Channel Antagonist

Benidipine hydrochloride (KW-3049) is a long-acting dihydropyridine-derived calcium channel antagonist with several unique mechanisms of action. It is reported that benidipine is highly transferable into the cell membranes, and combines with the dihydropyridine (DHP) binding site of the potential-dependent calcium channel in the cell membranes and thereby inhibits calcium influx into cells and causes coronary and peripheral vessels to dilate. (The product is for research purpose only.)
