GW-405833: A Cannabinoid Receptor 2 (CB2) Selective Agonist

Cannabinoids (CBs) are chemical substances that bind to the cannabinoid receptors of the body and brain, and have similar agonistic effects to those produced by the Cannabis Sativa plant. There are two types of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2. One of them, CB2 receptors are mainly expressed only during active inflammation and do not show undesirable psychotropic or addictive effects. GW-405833 is a selective CB2 receptor agonist, and has been reported to partially reverse the inflammation and hyperalgesia in animal models of acute inflammation.1-4) In addition, the NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitory effect of CB2 receptor selective agonists has recently been attracting attention.5,6) (The product is for research purpose only.)
