Deflazacort: A Synthetic Glucocorticoid with Anti-Inflammatory and Immunosuppressive Activity
Deflazacort is a synthetic glucocorticoid and an oxazoline derivative of prednisolone [P0637] with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activity. Deflazacort is an ester prodrug and metabolized to form the active metabolite 21-desacetyldeflazacort.
