Stachydrine: A Pyrrolidine Alkaloid with Various Pharmacological Activities
Stachydrine, a pyrrolidine alkaloid, is contained in the leaves of Leonurus japonicus Houtt which has been used as a traditional medicine for anti-gynecological disorder. Stachydrine is the major bioactive ingredient, and has demonstrated various pharmacological activities such as cardioprotective, anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective and anti-cancer activities. (The product is for research purpose only.)
