Application
Neotame: An Artificial Nonnutritive Sweetener
Neotame is an artificial nonnutritive sweetener. It is between 6,000 and 10,000 times sweeter than sucrose [S0111] and 30-60 times sweeter than aspartame [A0997].1-3) It has been reported that the sweet taste receptor, a heterodimeric G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) protein, formed by the T1R2 and T1R3 subunits, recognizes several sweet compounds including neotame.4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
