Application
WHI-P 154: A Potent Janus-Associated Kinase 3 (JAK3) Inhibitor

WHI-P 154 is a potent Janus-associated kinase 3 (JAK3) inhibitor that displays no activity at JAK1 or JAK2. JAK3 is a cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinase that functions in the initiation of cytokine-triggered signal transduction by catalyzing the phosphorylation of signal transduction and activators of transcription (STAT). The phosphorylated SATAs are translocated to the nucleus to activate target genes. WHI-P 154 is cytotoxic human glioblastoma cells. Recent reports have indicated that JAK3 is expressed in lymphoid cells and is involved in the signaling of T cell functions. Therefore, the development of a selective JAK3 inhibitor has been shown to have a potential benefit in the treatment of autoimmune disorders. (The product is for research purpose only.)
