Efficient Fe/Cu Co-Catalyzed C-N Cross-Coupling Reaction

Liu and Zhang have reported efficient C-N cross-coupling reactions of arylamines with bromoarenes, co-catalyzed by iron(III) acetylacetonate [Fe(acac)₃] and Cu(OAc)₂•H₂O in the presence of K₂CO₃ in DMF at 135 ºC for 20 h. This reaction condition is also suitable for the cross-coupling of benzylamine or heteroarylamines with aryl bromides.
