3-Methyladenine (3-MA): A PI3K inhibitor - An Autophagy Inhibitor
3-Methyladenine (3-MA) inhibits phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3K) such as wortmannin [W0007], and is generally used as an inhibitor of autophagy which is an intracellular degradation system that delivers cytoplasmic constituents to the lysosome.
