Previously this product had been labeled as a hydrate form both in product name and molecular formula. The hydrate form had no exclusive CAS RN and used to share the same CAS RN as the anhydrous form.
To avoid any misleading information and since moisture in product is considered as an impurity, we have decided to remove the term 'Hydrate' from product name and 'xH2O' from the molecular formula for such products.
Please use it at ease since there is no difference in product quality, even if you see the previous indications on a part of label.

Aminopterin: A Dihydrofolic Acid Reductase (DHFR) Inhibitor
Aminopterin, an amino derivative of folic acid [F0043], is a dihydrofolic acid reductase (DHFR) inhibitor. DHFR is an enzyme that reduces dihydrofolic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid, using nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) as electron donor, and a key enzyme in the synthesis of thymidylate and DNA. The inhibition causes the depletion of nucleotide precursors and inhibition of DNA. Aminopterin used to use as an antineoplastic agent in the treatment of leukemia. In the 1950’s, a less potent but less toxic methotrexate [M1664] began to replace in clinical use. (The product is for research purpose only.)
