Application
Gaboxadol Hydrochloride: A γ-Aminobutyric Acid Subtype A (GABAA) Receptor Agonist
Gaboxadol hydrochloride, also known as THIP, is a direct-acting γ-aminobutyric acid subtype A (GABAA) receptor agonist. GABAA receptor is widely considered to be an important target for most clinically effective sedative-hypnotic compounds. However, the clinical development program for gaboxadol was discontinued in 2007. (The product is for research purpose only.)
