Application
Amlexanox: A Specific Inhibitor of IKKε and TBK1 with Anti-Allergic Activity
Amlexanox (AA-673) is an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic agent. The precise mechanism of action is known, but recently in vitro studies have demonstrate that amlexanox is a specific inhibitor of the protein kinases IκB kinase-ε (IKKε) and TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) resulting in the inhibition of the formation and/or release of inflammatory mediators (histamine and leukotrienes) from mast cells, neutrophils and mononuclear cells. For your reference, [C2661] is a synthetic intermediate of amoxanox. (The product is for research purpose only.)
