Application
Nilutamide: A Nonsteroidal Anti-Androgen
Nilutamide is a nonsteroidal anti-androgen with affinity for androgen receptors but not for progestogen, estrogen, or glucocorticoid receptors. In vivo, nilutamide preferentially binds to androgen receptors and blocks androgen receptor activation by testosterone and other androgens. Therefore, nilutamide is used in the treatment of prostate cancer, which is known to be androgen sensitive. (The product is for research purpose only.)
