Application
Amisulpride: A Selective Dopamine D2/D3 Receptors Antagonist
Amisulpride, a substituted benzamide derivative, is a selective dopamine D2/D3 receptors antagonist. Amisulpride binds selectively to dopaminergic D2 and D3 receptor subtypes without any affinity for D1, D4 and D5 receptor subtypes, in limbic system. Amisulpride is devoid of affinity for serotonin receptors or other neurogenic receptors such as histamine, cholinergic and adrenergic receptors. Recently, the amisulpride antagonism of 5-HT7 receptors has been reported. (The product is for research purpose only.)
