Application
Fenbufen: A Non-Steroidal and Non-Selective Cyclooxygenase (COX) Inhibitor
Fenbufen is a non-steroidal and non-selective cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor with anti-inflammatory properties. Fenbufen is a prodrug and its major metabolite, 4-biphenylacetic acid [B1278], is a potent inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis. The mechanism of action is mainly through inhibition of the enzyme COX in the arachidonic acid pathway, resulting in reduced prostaglandin synthesis. (The product is for research purpose only.)
