多様な生物活性を有するキサントノイド,α-マンゴスチン
α-Mangostin, xanthone derivative, is isolated from mangosteen tree (Garcinia mangostana) which belongs to the family of Guttiferae and is named “the queen of fruits”. Recent studies revealed that α-mangostin exhibited a variety of biological activities containing anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects.
