Isoliquiritigenin: A Bioactive Component of the Roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis
Isoliquiritin is a bioactive phenylpropanoid isolated from the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis which has been used as a traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. It has been reported that isoliquiritin has multiple biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenesis, anti-tube formation, and antidepressant-like effects.
