Application
fMLP: A Highly Potent Leukocyte Chemoattractant
N-Formyl-Met-Leu-Phe (abbrev.: fMLP or FMLP), a bacterial peptide, is a highly potent leukocyte chemoattractant. It is a powerful "activators" of polymorphonuclear and mononuclear phagocytes. Its specific receptors have been identified on neutrophil plasma membrane which plays an important role in host defense against bacterial infections.
