Auraptene: A Coumarin Derivative with Various Valuable Pharmacological Properties
Auraptene is a coumarin derivative that bears a geranyloxy moiety at its C-7. It has been isolated from plants belonging to many genus of the Rutaceae or Citrus family. It has been proven to have various valuable pharmacological properties, including cancer chemo preventive, antibacterial, antiprotozoal, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activities.
