Sophoricoside: An Isoflavone Glycoside with Inhibitory Effects of IL-5, IL-3, IL-6, and COX-2 Activities
Sophoricoside is an isoflavone glycoside found in Sophora japonica L. (Leguminosae family) which is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb used as hemostatic agent.1) Pharmacological studies have demonstrated that Sophora japonica L. has antitumor and antifertility activities.1) It has been reported that sophoricoside exhibits inhibitory effects on interleukin-5 (IL-5), IL-3, IL-6, and COX-2 activities.2-5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
