trans-Ferulic Acid: A Hydroxylcinnamic Acid with Antioxidant Activity
trans-Ferulic acid is a hydroxylcinnamic acid with antioxidant activity1) that is present as compounds bound to carbohydrate in the cell walls of plants,2) including Angelica acutiloba Kitagawa which is an important crude drug in Kampo medicines (traditional Japanese medicine).,3) Furthermore, its antioxidant activity has been shown to act synergistically with vitamins C and E.4,5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
