Application
Cidofovir: An Acyclic Nucleoside Phosphonate Analog with Activity against a Variety of DNA Viruses.
Cidofovir (HPMPC) is an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate analog with in vitro and in vivo activity against a variety of DNA viruses. There are reports that cidofovir has broad-spectrum antiviral activity against herpesviruses, papillomaviruses, polyomavirus, adenovirus, and poxvirus. Cidofovir undergoes intracellular activation to form its diphosphate, the active metabolite of cidofovir, which are potent inhibitors of viral DNA polymerases. (The product is for research purpose only.)
