Application
Butyl Flufenamate: A Lipophilic Prodrug of Flufenamic Acid
Butyl flufenamate (ufenamate or HF-264) is a lipophilic prodrug of flufenamic acid [T2351]. It is reported that butyl flufenamate inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandin E1, but its inhibition is weaker than that of flufenamic acid. Its ointment is used topically for the treatment of eczema and atopic dermatitis in clinical use. (The product is for research purpose only.)
