Application
A Benzimidazole-Pyridazinone Derivative with Phosphodiesterase (Type III) Inhibition and Calcium-Sensitizing Properties
Pimobendan, a benzimidazole-pyridazinone derivative, is used as a veterinary cardiotonic vasodilator. It has been reported that pimobendan exerts its stimulatory myocardial effect by a dual mechanism of action: increase in calcium sensitivity of cardiac myofilaments and inhibition of phosphodiesterase (Type III). (The product is for research purpose only.)
