Application
Tolnaftate: A Synthetic Antifungal Reagent
Tolnaftate is a chemical synthetic antifungal reagent. Although the exact mechanism of action is not entirely known, tolnaftate would inhibit sterol biosynthesis at the level of squalene epoxidase which is an important enzyme in the biosynthetic pathway of the fungal membrane.
