Nickel-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling of Aryltrimethylammonium Iodides with Organozinc Reagents
Xie and Wang have reported the nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryltrimethylammonium iodides with organozinc reagents. In this study, complex Ni(PCy3)2Cl2 gave the best result as a Ni(II) catalyst in a 1:1 mixture of THF and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP). The organozinc reagents were applicable to the coupling with aryltrimethylammonium iodides containing a wide variety of substituents.
