Application
An N-Substituted Iminodiacetic Acid Used for Hepatobiliary Imaging Studies
N-(2,6-dimethylphenylcarbamoylmethyl)iminodiacetic acid (other names: HIDA, lidofenin) is an N-substituted iminodiacetic acid structurally related to lidocaine [L0156] is also used to assess liver function. The iminodiaceticacid moiety is a metal-chelating group. Therefore, radio-labeled (ex. technetium-99m labeled) HIDA has been used for hepatobiliary imaging studies. (The product is for research purpose only.)
