Anwendung
Crocin: A Carotenoid With Anticancer, Antioxidant and Antiinflammatory Properties
Crocin is a carotenoid chemical compound that is found in gardenia fruits and saffron which have traditionally been used as pharmaceutical agents. It is one of the water-soluble yellow-red pigments and is used as a spice for flavoring and coloring food. Pharmacological studies have suggested that it has anticancer, antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties, improving of learning behaviors in mice, and protection of brain cells.
