TCI Materials Science News May 2021
TCI is at the forefront of offering high quality materials for R&D. In this issue, we focus on the usefulness of our self-assemble monolayer (SAM) forming agent for enhancing solar cell performance, high-mobility / high-solubility p-type organic semiconductor, and latest TCIMAIL. We also provide an extensive catalog of organic and inorganic reagents that are valuable tools in the field of materials science.
2PACz Series

Self-Assemble Monolayer (SAM) Forming Agent for Enhancing Solar Cell Performance, 2PACz Series

Self-assembled monolayer-forming agents 2PACz [C3663] and MeO-2PACz [D5798], work as hole transport materials which enable efficient, versatile, and stable p-i-n perovskite solar cell devices without additives, interlayers or dopants. The self-assembly of 2PACz or MeO-2PACz leads to conformal coverage of oxide surfaces (including textured). Perovskite solar cell devices can be fabricated by simple, scalable, and extremely cost-effective processing.
High-Mobility / High-Solubility p-Type Organic Semiconductor, Ph-BTBT-n Series

High-Mobility / High-Solubility p-Type Organic Semiconductor, Ph-BTBT-n Series

In addition to the previously available semiconductors Ph-BTBT-10 [D5491], TCI now offers Ph-BTBT-12 [D5910], Ph-BTBT-8 [O0576], Ph-BTBT-6 [H1769] and Ph-BTBT-4 [B6248] that differ in alkyl chain length. The mobility and solubility of this series highly depend on the length of alkyl chain (n = 4 to 12). You can choose any of the Ph-BTBT-n series depending on your purpose and operating environment. Additionally the transistor device fabrications using Ph-BTBT-n series are applicable to both dry and wet processes.
TCIMAIL 186

TCI Chemistry Research: TCIMAIL 186

Released in April 2021, TCI's latest issue features Prof. Nuno Maulide’s article on heterocycle formation called "Trifluoromethanesulfonic Anhydride in Amide Activation: A Powerful Tool to Forge Heterocyclic Cores”, and Prof. Nagatoshi Nishiwaki’s chemistry chat. We also feature research on:Be sure to check out our previous issues of TCIMAIL that contain various scientific articles from researchers around the world!
