Aminostyrene Monomers
Applications
Aminostyrene monomers allow the synthesis of polystyrenes capable of late-stage functionalization. Examples of late-stage functionalization include chelation after polymerization, quaternary ammonium formation, and betaine formation. The resulting polystyrenes have reportedly been applied to palladium-catalytic reaction fields,1) polymeric permeable membranes,2) polyelectrolytes,3) and ion exchange resins.4)
