Application
Iohexol: A Water-Soluble Nonionic Radiographic Contrast Agent
Iohexol is a water-soluble nonionic contrast agent of low osmolality, commonly used in diagnostic radiography of the brain and spinal cord. Iohexol is also used for a marker for glomerular filtration rate (GFR): after intravenous injection, it is quantitatively recovered in the urine; the elimination occurs by glomerular filtration. It is called iohexol clearance test and used in a standard test of kidney function. For your reference, [A2169] is a key synthetic intermediate of it. (The product is for research purpose only.)
