A Key Synthetic Intermediate of a 4-Azasteroid, Dutasteride
This product is a key synthetic intermediate of a 4-azasteroid, dutasteride, which has the carbon atom in position 4 in the steroid ring replaced by a nitrogen atom. 4-Azasteroids including dutasteride have been reported as 5α-reductase inhibitors which are a class of medications with anti-androgenic effects.
