Previously this product had been labeled as a hydrate form both in product name and molecular formula. The hydrate form had no exclusive CAS RN and used to share the same CAS RN as the anhydrous form.
To avoid any misleading information and since moisture in product is considered as an impurity, we have decided to remove the term 'Hydrate' from product name and 'xH2O' from the molecular formula for such products.
Please use it at ease since there is no difference in product quality, even if you see the previous indications on a part of label.

Application
Formoterol Fumarate: A Long-Acting and Selective β2-Adrenoceptor Agonist (LABA)
Formoterol fumarate is a long-acting and selective β2-adrenoceptor agonist (LABA) such as indacaterol maleate [I0927], causing bronchodilation by relaxing the smooth muscle in the airway. Formoterol has more potent activity than short acting β2-adrenoceptor agonist, such as salbutamol [S0531]. Combination inhalers containing formoterol fumarate and a corticosteroid (eg. budesonide [B3909], beclometasone dipropionate [B4464], fluticasone propionate [F0525] or mometasone furoate [M2354]) are often used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
