Cortexolone: A Glucocorticoid, also Known as 11-Deoxycortisol
Cortexolone, also known as 11-deoxycortisol, is a glucocorticoid, though is less potent than hydrocortisone [H0533]. Cortexolone can be synthesized from 17α-hydroxyprogesterone [H1250]. In addition, the 21-acetate of cortexolone is [A3212].
