Application
Bambuterol: A Long-Acting Prodrug of the β2 Adrenergic Agonist Terbutaline
Bambuterol is a long-acting biscarbamate ester prodrug of the β2 adrenergic agonist (R,S)-terbutaline. Bambuterol is hydrolyzed to (R,S)-terbutaline primarily by butyrylcholinesterase. R-Terbutaline is more active form than S-terbutaline. Bambuterol is used for treatment of asthma. (The product is for research purpose only.)
