Application
Thiocolchicoside: A Selective γ-Aminobutyric Acid Subtype A (GABAA) Receptor Antagonist
Thiocolchicoside is a synthetic derivative of colchicine which is an alkaloid extracted from Colchicum and Glory Lity. It has been suggested that thiocolchicoside acts as a selective γ-aminobutyric acid subtype A (GABAA) receptor antagonist in the central nervous system (CNS), and etc. The precise mechanism of action is unknown, but thiocolchicoside is used as a muscle relaxant with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. (The product is for research purpose only.)
