Application
α-Tocopheryl Succinate (α-TOS): an ester of Vitamin E with various biological activities
Vitamin E [T0251] is an antioxidant that protects organism from damage caused by free radicals. In contrast, α-tocopheryl succinate (α-TOS), an ester of Vitamin E, lacks antioxidative ability. Recently, α-TOS comes into focus due to its various biological activities such as induction of apoptosis and activation of protein kinase C.
