Application
Fipronil: GABA Receptors Antagonistic Insecticide
Fipronil is a broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole-class synthetic insecticide with potential value for the control of a wide range of crop, public hygiene, amenity, and veterinary pests. Pharmacological activity of fipronil is an interruption of the GABA receptors with gamma-aminobutylic acid (GABA) [A0282]. Since fipronil suppresses GABAergic neurons, central nervous system (CNS) toxicity is well observed. (The product is for research purpose only.)
