Application
Difenoconazole: An Ergosterol Biosynthesis Inhibitor
Difenoconazole is a broad-spectrum 1,2,4-triazole fungicide that inhibits ergosterol [E0018] biosynthesis and fungal cell wall formation via inhibition of the cytochrome P450 dependent 14α-demethylation of lanosterol [C0427].1-3) Difenoconazole is used as foliage-spray or seed-treatment for the control of fungal diseases on fruits, vegetables, cereals, and other field crops. Therefore, it has been to study of the fate of difenoconazole in vegetables and soil for accurate assessment of its stress to food and environment.3-6) (The product is for research purpose only.)
