Diphenhydramine: A Classical H1 Histamine Receptor Antagonist
Diphenhydramine and chlorpheniramine [C0873] are classical H1 histamine receptor antagonists and 1st-generation antihistamine agents. Diphenhydramine also has a local anesthetic effect. Its hydrochloride [D0423] is widespread used in clinical use.
