Application
Chlorambucil: A Nitrogen Mustard Type Antitumor Alkylating Agent
Chlorambucil, a nitrogen mustard type antitumor alkylating agent, generates covalent adducts with double-helical DNA and inhibits cell proliferation. Chlorambucil has been shown to be an effective single-agent treatment in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and to be useful as part of combination chemotherapy in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
