Application
VK3-OCH3: A Thioether Analog of Vitamin K with a Selective Anti-Tumor Activity
VK3-OCH3 is a thioether analog of vitamin K with a selective anti-tumor activity.1-3) It has been reported that VK3-OCH3 inhibits the activity of protein-tyrosine phosphatases (PTPases), and induces protein-tyrosine phosphorylation in a human hepatoma cell line (Hep3 B).1) In another report, VK3-OCH3 induces G2/M arrest and apoptosis through heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) related signal transduction in neuroblastoma cells and exhibit less cytotoxicitiy in normal cell lines.2) (The product is for research purpose only.)
