通过全氟化碘（III）试剂脱羧反应进行可见光光氧化还原三氟甲基化反应
[双(三氟乙酰氧基)碘代]五氟苯 (1)的新应用有助于在结合光氧化还原金属催化剂下作为（异）芳烃的三氟甲基化试剂被使用。例如，卿等曾报道，1与（杂）芳烃在光氧化还原金属催化剂的存在下，用蓝光LED照射，得到相应的三氟甲基化芳基产物，产率很好。该反应可以在温和的条件下进行，副产物和碘代五氟苯可以很容易地分离。这种新方法通过使用1作为一个温和且易得到的CF3源，可进一步增加它的合成效用。
