SQ22536: An Adenylyl Cyclase Inhibitor
SQ22536 is an adenylyl cyclase inhibitor. Adenylyl cyclase (or adenylate cyclase) is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) [A0157 (Na salt)] to 3’,5’-cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) [A2381][A2112 (Na salt)]. Therefore, adenylyl cyclase inhibitors, including SQ22536, have many applications in biochemical and physiological research.
